Cylix launches Equality & Diversity in Practice courses

August 2005

Cylix have announced the launch of a groundbreaking new range of e-learning courses on equal opportunities and diversity.

The Equality & Diversity in Practice range is made up of three courses that have been designed to enable organisations to deliver the specific equal opportunities and diversity training that's needed, to the people that need it.

Developed in collaboration with HR experts at Manchester Metropolitan University and the diversity unit at Capital Consulting (www.capitalconsulting.com), the courses are highly comprehensive online learning resources that can be customised to meet the specific needs of any organisation.

Each of the courses explore different aspects of equal opportunities and diversity and make extensive use of interactive case studies and photo-drama scenarios in order to illustrate how key principles and points of law apply to everyday work situations.

As Steven Price, Managing Director of Cylix, remarks: "The problem with many courses on legislation is that they simply itemise points of law, which makes for dull and ineffective e-learning. The case studies and scenarios bring the legislation to life and encourage learners to actively explore the practical implications of the law."

The courses are SCORM-compliant and are available for online and CD-ROM deployment. They ship with Esemble, Cylix's powerful course editor, which enables organisations to undertake ongoing updates in-house. If required, Cylix can also provide a learning management system for deploying the courses and monitoring usage.
