V&A Museum: e-Induction
When the Victoria & Albert Museum needed an online course to form part of a blended induction programme at the Museum, they turned to us.
During initial meetings with the V&A, it became clear that one of the key challenges we faced was developing a course that supported the Museum's new brand image and reflected its status as a centre of excellence in art and design.
We worked closely with the V&A over a period of several months to develop the e-Induction course. During the early stages of the project, we developed course prototypes for review by the V&A, and this quickly enabled us to define a visual interface that best reflected the Museum's image and the needs of the target audience.
The finished course has a run-time of one-hour and provides new starters with an exciting and stimulating introduction to the Museum. Amongst its key features are:
- An interactive interview with the Director of the Museum.
- A highly visual interface that actively encourages exploration.
- More than 100 digitised photographs of Museum interiors and objects.
- A range of advanced accessibility features, including subtitles, content magnification and keyboard control.
The course has been very positively received and is now a key element in the Museum's blended induction programme.
