Introduction

Providing equality of opportunity isn't an option, it's the law. But let's face it, getting people up to speed with all the legislation and keeping them there can be a real headache for any organisation.

This is where we can help. Working in collaboration with HR experts at Manchester Metropolitan University and the diversity unit at Capital Consulting (www.capitalconsulting.com), we've developed Equality & Diversity in Practice, a groundbreaking range of courses that enables you to deliver the specific equal opportunities and diversity training that's needed, to the people that need it.

Courses in the range

There are three courses available in the Equality & Diversity in Practice range:

Equal Opportunities & Diversity Essentials

This introduces everyone to the concepts of equal opportunities and diversity and provides an overview of the main legislation and its practical implications.

Exploring Equal Opportunities & Diversity

This builds a deeper understanding of the key issues introduced in the 'Essentials' course. It takes an in-depth look at each of the main pieces of legislation in place, and considers a range of ways in which individuals can help break down barriers to equality.

Managing Diversity

This is aimed at managers and supervisors and looks at how they can comply with legislation and manage diverse teams effectively. Central to the course is a series of interactive case studies which learners explore in order to develop their understanding of key legal issues.
